Harvard College, Cambridge, MA Artium Baccalaureatus, magna cum laude, Social Studies (1997)

After graduating from Harvard College and Yale Law School, Frank T. Apodaca served as a law clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He practiced for several years in Houston, Texas, then returned home to New Mexico, where he has enjoyed building his current law and consulting practice. Mr. Apodaca was named a shareholder less than a year after joining SaucedoChavez, P.C.

For over a decade, Mr. Apodaca has represented plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil suits in federal and state courts. Litigated claims include antitrust, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, consumer, civil rights, embezzlement, employment, fraud, medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability, and water rights, among others. Mr. Apodaca is disciplined and articulate, creative and dynamic. He works well with all parties to a case. He gets results.

Mr. Apodaca also has counseled corporate clients on a host of matters, including startup, corporate compliance, risk mitigation, reorganization, and dissolution. As a litigator, he is uniquely qualified to advise businesses regarding structure, operation, and transactions. This helps them avoid litigation exposures down the road.

Mr. Apodaca has expanded his practice to include government affairs. He served for multiple Sessions as counsel in the New Mexico Legislature, advising legislators in multiple committees on a broad range of legal issues concerning proposed legislation. He knows the varied and fast-changing guard in the Roundhouse. He has developed a statewide network of contacts spanning interests and generations. He offers to his clients invaluable process insights, including how to draft and introduce bills to maximize probability of passage; how to use procedural devices to amend and substitute bills to steer them through committees; how to obtain floor votes; and how to build legislative coalitions, and appease opponents, by leveraging knowledge of the personal history, politics, and interests of key elected officials and staff. With each client, he develops strategies that work.

Mr. Apodaca's experience, ethics, and commitment to results ensure that SaucedoChavez's clients receive the highest quality representation and advocacy.
